Government – Albert Facey House

Project: Albert Facey House, 469 Wellington Street, Perth, WA

Albert Facey House is a 10-storey commercial building owned by the Department of Finance, Building Management and Works, and is located in the Forrest Place area in the Perth CBD. It houses a number of government departments.

Scope: Implementation of a fully integrated building automation system using the open BACnet® protocol. The Optergy™ energy management system monitors and forecasts facility energy consumption and achieved a 5 Star ABGR and Green Star rating for the facility.

Status: completed

Specs: Alerton Envision BMS suite with native BACnet® open communication platform, Optergy™ real-time energy management, including:

  • boilers and chillers water plant monitoring and controls
  • condenser water plant controls
  • exhaust system controls
  • VAVs, AHUs and fan coil unit controls
  • lighting controls
  • electricity, gas and water consumption metering, and
  • energy management strategy.
