Incorporating the Centre for Medicine Use and Safety and the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the faculty’s Parkville campus engages in world-class research and is a leading provider of education to both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Scope: Implementation of a fully integrated building automation system using the open BACnet® protocol. This provides event management with reporting and routing of critical alarms and events.

Status: Completed

Specs: Alerton Envision BMS suite with native BACnet® open communication platform, including:

  • boilers and chillers water plant monitoring and controls
  • condenser water plant
  • central plant for laboratory gases
  • chilled beams
  • clean rooms
  • sterilisation rooms
  • pressurisation rooms
  • fume cupboard exhaust systems
  • VAVs, AHUs and fan coil unit controls
  • lighting controls, and
  • electrical, gas and water consumption metering.
