Over the past two years, Charles Sturt has invested in an integrated Building Management & Information System (BMIS) incorporating all six campuses – Wagga Wagga, Orange, Dubbo, Albury, Bathurst & Canberra – under a single unified Optergy™ front end.

Scope: Implementation of a fully integrated building automation system for multiple buildings using the open BACnet® protocol. This provides event management with reporting and routing of critical alarms and events, and monitoring and forecasting of facility energy consumption.

Status: Completed

Specs: Alerton Envision BMS suite with native BACnet® open communication platform, Optergy™ real-time energy management, including:

  • web-based centralised monitoring and controls for multiple facilities
  • air conditioning
  • mechanical services
  • external lighting controls
  • gas, electricity and water consumption metering, and
  • campus-wide energy management strategies.
