Project: Twenty8 Freshwater Place, Southbank, Vic This development on the banks of Melbourne’s Yarra River includes a 25 level commercial building over 34,000m2, and was designed to achieve a 4.5 Star rating under the Australian Building Greenhouse Rating Scheme. Sustainable construction includes: potable water recycling, energy efficient T5 light fittings with dimming sensors and C-BUS technology, recycled content in steel and concrete used in construction, and reduced greenhouse emissions. Following Alerton’s system implementation the development has achieved a 5 star rating. Scope: Implementation of a fully integrated building automation system using the open BACnet® protocol. This provides event management with reporting and routing of critical alarms and events, and monitoring and forecasting of facility energy consumption.
