Sydney Central is an A-Grade multipurpose commercial development of 32-storey and 10-storey office buildings, incorporating two levels of retail and three low-rise heritage buildings. These buildings have a combined NLA of 48,073m. A major upgrade of the BMS, Access Control and CCTV systems was completed in late 2003.

Scope: Implementation of a fully integrated building automation system for multiple buildings using the open BACnet® protocol. This provides event management with reporting and routing of critical alarms and events, and monitoring and forecasting of facility energy consumption.

Status: Completed

Specs: Alerton Envision BMS suite with native BACnet® open communication platform, including:

  • chilled water, condenser and HHW Plant (Household Hazardous Waste)
  • VAV controls
  • AHU controls
  • exhaust system controls
  • lighting controls
  • electricity, gas and water consumption metering, and
  • integrated security management system.
